StMCS is seeking a dynamic Catholic 4th grade teacher ready to embrace our mission of “Living for Christ and Learning for Life”.  This includes instructing children in the teachings of the Catholic Church by word and example and planning lessons in all content areas that incorporate best practices and consider various learning styles. Candidates must be student-centered, have high expectations, and an enthusiastic approach to working with students and their families. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.


MN teaching license required.  Practicing Roman Catholic.

Experience in intermediate grades preferred.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Dedication to the mission of Catholic Education
  • Training in Responsive Classroom philosophy & strong classroom management skills
  • Experience teaching Everyday Math
  • Interest and/or experience teaching science
  • Understanding of balanced literacy
  • Experience designing instruction and assessment aligned with MN Standards
  • Experience integrating technology into both instruction and learning (use of SMART Boards, MacBooks, and iPads)
  • Willingness to collaborate to plan instruction and make data-driven decisions
  • A strong work ethic balanced with the ability to laugh and share the joy of learning

We are seeking licensed, flexible teachers ready to be on-call on a regular basis for Grades Preschool and K-8, all subject areas.  Daily substitute rate is $110. Substitutes are required to complete a background check and attend a free, 3-hour training called VIRTUS, sponsored by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. 

Qualified applicants may specify days available, preferred grades and/or subjects they are willing to teach.
